GIFTED & TALENTED Using the K12 curriculum makes it possible to provide each child with the course level appropriate for their educational needs. At times parents may wish to use enrichment activities. The website for Utah Association for Gifted Children  may provide some ideas and help for parents: www.UAGC.org.

E-OFFICES Each teacher has an e-office that you can visit for help or online meeting, parties, games etc...  If you are invited to attend an event in an electronic-Office (Elluminate Room), you simply need to be online and click on the link provided.  This page has a list of the links for each e-office.
HOMEROOMS - COMING SOON Each teacher is assigned her own classroom of students/families.  This page contains a link for each homeroom.  The homeroom pages contain information about their teacher and other items specific to their classroom and area.

Just for Students

MILLIONAIRE GAMES These games are created and hosted by the teachers and helps to prepare the students for the end of year testing (CRT's).  The games are divided by grade level and subject area.  Click on the link to go to the schedule to see what is being played.
ONLINE CLASSES Here are some fun and educational classes for the students.  These are presented by the WOSU staff and are just for you.  :-)
TUTORING TIME We have many well-educated teachers who have unique abilities in different areas.  They are offering to help your students with those particular subjects.  A popular one is our "Math Mamas".  They go online just to help students with math problems.  Click on the link to see a schedule of the times when the specialists are available.
WRITING HELPS Throughout the year, we will be presenting various writing workshops.  The helps and documents used to help teach effective writing skills are stored here for students to access. 
POETRY HELPS Each year we are thrilled to present the state-wide WOSU poetry festival.  We have provided ideas to help students prepare for this event. 
TEST HELPS These are good suggestions and tips for preparing for tests - whether they be academic ones for WOSU or any other test the student is anxious about.
POWERSPEAK The foreign language courses are on a different platform than the other K12 courses and students may benefit from some of the questions answered here in regards to how Powerspeak works.

SUMMER FUN Just some fun ideas and links and events for things to do in the summer months.  Be careful, you might be really busy having lots of fun! 
SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK Schoolhouse Rock! is a series of animated musical educational short films that aired during Saturday morning children's programming on U.S. television network ABC. Topics covered include grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics, and politics. This page has a list of links to view the videos.
RECIPE RESOURCE Do you ever walk in the kitchen to make dinner and your mind goes blank?  What do you do then?  Well, now you can get help from Kathy in the Kitchen.  Share your favorite recipes on this blog and find favorites from other parents on this blog as they are added.
PLEDGE & PLAN Each Monday morning students are invited to join Gloria Kelly, one of our wonderful teachers for the "Pledge 'n' Plan" at 12:00 am online in her Elluminate room. http://kelly.ourwash.org  During this 10-15 minute presentation, they recite the Pledge of Allegiance, share a history moment, and review the upcoming calendar of events/happenings.

Just for Parents

SPEAKER SERIES These sessions are presented by the WOSU staff specifically with you, the parents, in mind.  They are to help you and your child to learn more, to be more efficient and to have fun doing it.
PRESENTED LIVE We are presenting "live and in person" sessions around the state to help with motivation and other aspects of dealing with our children (and others).  Click on the link to see the first of this series.
LAURA'S LETTERS Check out this blog for the latest news and updates from our director, Laura.  This is a great place to read and refer back to any WOSU announcements for the school.
OLS TRAINING We want all of our parents to be familar with and feel comfortable in the OLS.  To help you reach this goal, we are providing online OLS trainings for both the beginner and the seasoned learning coach.
INFO SESSIONS These sessions are for anyone who would like to learn more about WOSU and how our program works.  Please share this information with others whom you feel might benefit from being part of our school.
