Daisypath

As a school, our goal is to have the students complete 100% of each course by the end of the school year; however we will order the next year's curriculum if they have reached at least 80% by that time.  In order to see how you compare with that goal, we have provided a chart which includes where you should be for each week to accomplish either 100% or 80% by the end of the school year.

Weekly Progress Goals

Reaching 80% progress is our benchmark.  If your child reaches this goal by the end of the school year, then the next year's curriculum will be ordered.  If they do not reach the 80% or more by the end of the school year, it simply means that the next year's curriculum will not be ordered until the next fall.

Weekly Progress & Attendance Chart

We realize that families take vacations at different times and thus do not expect you to be in school 5 days a week for all of the weeks included.  We also realize that families start at different times and that this year especially was late for a lot of us due to late shipments of materials.  This chart is provided to give you a simple guide if you want to use it to see if you are on track to complete 80% or 100% by the end of the school year.

Planning Weekly Goals

The following link will ask you if you want to open or save the document.  Select OPEN which will open an excel document (if you don't have Excel, click here for a free version of OpenOffice which will also open the file) where you can enter the following information for an individual course that your child is working on:

  1. Current Week (get it from the blue chart) Weekly Progress Chart

  2. Current Percent Completed (get it from your OLS Progress page)

  3. Goal for the Year (100% or 95% or...)

  4. Total Number of Lessons in Course (get it from your OLS Progress page)

It will tell you how many lessons need to be done each week in that course from this point on in order to accomplish your goal by the end of the year.
