10% Progress Club

As part of our desire to help students excel in their core courses, we are starting the 10% Progress Club.  We would like to reward them for making consistent progress and learning throughout the year. The target for those planning to complete the course within the school year should be about 10% progress each month.

MEMBERS

Students become a member of the 10% club anytime they pass a 10% milestone in a math, science, or language arts course.  Each time they become a member, they get their name in for the mid-year drawings.

For example, Bobby increases from 13% to 23% completed progress in math and from 15% to 25% and thus becomes a member TWICE and receives TWO entries in the drawings.

READING

WOSU students who would like to participate in this club program but are not currently taking any of these courses (language arts, math, or science) with WOSU can still become members of the club by enrolling in the Reading Horizons bonus program and completing progress there.

REWARDS

Each homeroom teacher will reward the students every time they achieve 10% progress in their math, science, or language arts courses.  These rewards and how the club works on a classroom basis will vary from teacher to teacher.

See the homeroom homepages or email your teacher for the details for your particular homeroom award program.

DRAWING

At the middle of the year, all the entries earned up to that point will be put into a class pot for a drawing in each homeroom class.  The prizes will be a surprise but will definitely be bigger than the monthly homeroom awards.
